These boots were made for walking

Chances are your girlfriend or wife is a shoe person-most are. Shoes look good on everyone, even on those “Do I look fat?” days.

To better explain in a way that makes sense to you, think about celebrities. Designers send them free clothes so that the celebrity will wear it. This makes the designer look good.

You buy her a hot pair of high heels- she looks good, you look good. is one of my favorite websites for shoes. It carries a wide variety of brands, often puts shoes on sale that are still full price elsewhere and offers free shipping (and free returns)! Of course any department is great too. Most cities have shoe boutiques, which is great for someone who doesn’t know what they want– you– because the salesperson probably knows a lot about shoes.

Bootie (boo-tee) n. 1. An ankle high boot. 2. A girl’s behind. 3. Goods seized in a time of war, usually by pirates. (Oh wait, that’s booty.)

Anyway, we’re focusing on that first one. A style I love is like this Steve Madden Marrvel. It has a studded heel and peep toe which are both very stylish now. The heel is 4&1/2 inches tall and it’s a great price! On sale at for $99.99.

One of my favorite shoes for the summer is the Fendi Tahiti Platform Slides. It has a great chucky, wooden heel and is 4&3/4 inches tall. The shoe is a little pricey at $520.00 from, so I would reserve this for when you really want to spoil her! In it’s defense, the shoe is made exceptionally well. It has a leather lining and sole made in Italy (Italy is known for producing the best quality shoes and handbags- this is no exception.)

The Tory Burch Francesca Heeled Gladiator is another great shoe for the summer- super strappy with a 4 inch wooden heel. The gold hardware on the shoe really demands a lot of attention, so your girl will be getting looks all night long.

$425.00 from

So whether you are looking for something more  classic or a pair of CFMPs– I won’t go into detail there– a cute pair of high heels will really make her squeal!

And that concludes our lesson for today.
